Printing - NEW as of 9/2/2105

The district installed new ecopy printers in every school. Please follow these directions carefully after your building tech says your school is ready. Be sure you have installed Printer Manager from Self Service (Printing 1 of 2 ), then reboot. Note: if you DON’T see printer manager, it means you have already installed it.

  1. Install the new eCopy Software 8/28/15 from Self Service (Printing 1 of 2) For 10.10 Yosemite
    1. for 10.8.5 select your ecopy software dated 9/2/15 (Printing 1 of 2)
  1. Go into system preferences >Print and Scan and delete all existing ecopy printers. You do this by highlighting the printer and clicking the “-” button at the bottom of the printer box.
  2. Go into Self Service and click on Printing 2 of 2 and find what you want to install. Every ecopy has a date of 9/1/15.
  3. You will need to set a default printer go to System Preferences >Print and Scan >Default Printer (near the bottom)
  4. Remember that when you print, you are prompted for a username and password. This will be your network user name and password that you use to login to email.

If you are at NTE, all printers have changed as of August 2015 ecopy and HP Printers.

  2. Go into system preferences >Print and Scan and delete all existing printers from NTE. You do this by highlighting the printer and clicking the “-” button at the bottom of the printer box.
  3. Go into Self Service and click on Printing 2 or 2 (NTE Aug 2015) and find what you want to install.
  4. You will need to set a default printer go to System Preferences >Print and Scan >Default Printer (near the bottom)
  5. Remember that when you print, you are prompted for a username and password. This will be your network user name and password that you use to login to email.

 

Never added printers?

  1. Open Self-Service
  2. Click on the category ‘Printing 1 of 2’ to install the Ecopy, HP software and Printer Manager (then reboot)- this only has to be done once.
  3. Click on ‘Printing 2 of 2’, then select the the printer (s) you would like to have. Note most schools have ALL in one job.
  4. You will need to set a default printer go to System Preferences >Print and Scan >Default Printer (near the bottom)

Each time you print, you will have to enter your network username and password.

If you see the "hold for authentication" message and the authentication box doesn't show up, click on the little refresh arrow. This will force the authentication box to come to the front of everything and you will be able to type in your credentials.
