Firefox - Bookmarks - How to backup and restore (01/15/2016)

To back up your Chrome book marks. Click on the Bookmark icon on the upper right (It looks like 3 bars on a clipboard ) or just do a Ctl-Shift-B

Select show All Bookmarks to open the Library window.

From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and

 

Backup Bookmarks
  • Choose Export Bookmarks to HTML....
  • In the Export Bookmarks File window that opens, choose a location to save the file, which is named bookmarks.html by default. The desktop is usually a good spot, but any place that is easy to remember will work.
  • Click the Save button. The Export Bookmarks File window will close.
  • Close the Library window.
  • If your computer will be reimaged or it is the end of the year move the bookmark file to your H: drive.

Restore Bookmarks

  • Choose Import Bookmarks to HTML....
  • Go to the location you previously saved your Bookmarks.  This is usually your H: drive.
  • Click on your bookmark file and select Open
  • Your bookmarks have been restored
