How to erase or wipe your iPad. 6/5/2018

How to wipe your iPad before turning in.

Please ONLY do this if you are instructed to wipe your iPad.

Before you turn in your ipad, turn off Find My iPhone (also known as Activation Lock).

The best way to do this is to sign out of iCloud and then erase all content and settings from your device before handing it over. This completely erases your device, turns off Find My iPhone, and removes the device from your Apple ID account.

IOS 11.x  Go to Settings:

Go to :  Accounts and Passwords –
1.   Highlight Icloud -
2.   Turn off   Find My Ipad. It will prompt for your Apple ID Password
3.   Sign out of Icloud
You can also delete any other accounts (email) that are listed, but you don't have to because they will be automatically removed when the ipad is wiped.

             Also look at Settings:
Itunes and App Store – be sure you are signed out
Wallet and Apple Pay – be sure you are signed out.

4.  Tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
